Name: Jalil Bethea
Height: 6’4
HS: Archbishop Wood (PA)
Grassroots: Team Final
Position: CG
Calling card: Shot maker, deep range
Miami Commit (9/20/23)
Strengths: Jalil is one of, if not the best, shot makers in the class of 24. He is a deadly three-point shooter that can score on the move and off the dribble. Jalil has deep, deep range and needs to be picked up at half court. He has also shown the ability to score inside. Jalil can elevate off the drive and hammer it down and also shows great body control to finish creatively at the rim. Jalil is very efficient as a scorer from two-point range, three-point range, and at the free throw line.
Areas to Improve: Jalil could work on finding his teammates more often. If Jalil plans to play the point at Miami he will need to get better as a passer. He will also need to get stronger to compete at the next level.
Jalil is Miami’s third commitment in the class of 2024 that also includes SG Austin Swartz and SF Isaiah Johnson-Arigu. At this moment, that ranks in the top 10 nationally for the class of 24.
